Jackie Atkins
I'm a local songwriter and I work with manylocal musicians and vocalist that sing my songs. I write mostlycountry, inspirational and pop songs. Randy Johnston Of The Beaters hascomposed music for several of my songs along with Greg Hathaway of Ringgold GA. Lauren Suddeth, Monica Leigh and April Wehunt are a fewvocalist that we have worked with recently. Thanks for the opportunityto promote our music on the best radio station in the south!

From the time I was a young girl music has always been a part of mylife. On weekends we would have ho downs in our dining room. My mom isan awesome pianist and was the single biggest inspiration in my life. Istarted piano lessons at age nine and also played flute in the schoolband. I started writing poetry in my early teens and writing has alwaysbeen a passion along with playing music.

My personal interests in music and writing were put on hold forseveral years while I raised my family and now I'm back writing songlyrics. I have been blessed to have so many wonderful musicians andwriters work with me over the last 10 years. Each and every one of themhas brought something new and different into the arena that makes up agreat circle of friends, my music family.

My writing style is considered eclectic in that I write in severalgenres. Country music was woven into the fabric of my life and seems tocome easy for me. There's always a great story to tell in those goodole country songs. I also write Pop, Gospel, Inspirational and Ballads. There are also a couple of Blues tunes scattered in my catalogue of370+ songlyrics.

To date I've cowritten with several people that I would like torecognize, because without them I wouldn't be on this wonderful pathtoday. Randy Johnston cowrote "Memories" with me, Denise Barker(D.D.Bain) on "Hope Is The Rope", Milford Kirkland, Jr. on "BrokenCowboy", Gregory D. Hathaway on "That Old Barn", "Hoofbeats In Heaven","Ho Down" and "All About Living". My writing is ongoing with MilfordKirkland, Jr. and Greg Hathaway. Also, Charlie May and I have worked onseveral songs together and soon to be released "Daddy I Needed YouToday".

Last, I want to give special recognition to Richard and GeneMcGibony. Richards generosity in sharing his knowledge of the musicbusiness has been priceless. He and Gene are a breath of fresh air withenough love to warm the world. They are my solid rock in this world ofsand.

Above all I thank God for the gift of words and the ability toarrange them into songlyrics. I hope you enjoy my music and stop byoften to have a listen.

Thank you, Jackie Atkins
